Yoga citta vritti nirodha.~Yoga stills the fluctuations of the mind.
from The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali
Yoga is not about muscling into impossible shapes.
It is not an opportunity to compete with ourselves or others.
It is not fancy clothes, toned muscles, or sultry voices chanting in unison.
Yoga is about mindfulness, not empty asana.
Yoga means "yoke," yoking of body, mind, and spirit to our central purpose.
Yoga is meant to be challenging, whether that happens in our physical body our playful mind.
Please join me for a weekly gentle vinyasa practice at Christ the Good Shepherd Orthodox Church in Shaw neighborhood, St. Louis

A Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 200), Hannah began practicing yoga to balance her love of long-distance running. When the love of yoga overpowered that of running, Hannah completed her 200 hour teacher training with Power Yoga master Bill Raup in Philadelphia. Since then, Hannah has been teaching power yoga, hot flow, all-levels vinyasa, and prenatal yoga to students in Philadelphia and now in St. Louis. Her teaching is greatly indebted to the practices of Baron Baptiste, Sri Dharma Mittra, and BKS Iyengar as well as all of her many teachers along the way: Bill, Cheryl, Heather, her students, and most especially Clay.
